Easy Foods runs on more than a dozen capable platforms that do not talk to each other. Masatec connects them through one plant data hub, then adds dashboards, alerts and agents on top.

Status

Phase 0 — Foundation · 13 Oct to 27 Nov 2026

Phase 0 is API access and master-data cleanup. Nothing in the plant changes yet; the work is getting credentials for eleven systems, standing up the hub, and fixing the master data every later analytic depends on.

This page is reference, not the platform. It summarises the project so anyone with access can see the same picture. The application replaces it in the same stack slot when it is built.

The two names

Masatec

The system. What people log into — dashboards, schedules, approvals, records. Title case, always one word.

MASA

The assistant you talk to inside it. Manufacturing AI for Systems and Automation — all caps, because it is an acronym. “Ask MASA.”

The logo carries the relationship: the ring is the separate systems joined into one flow, and the gold core at its centre is MASA.

Systems in scope

Eleven source systems feed one hub. Nothing is replaced; everything is joined.

Planning today lives outside all of them: a 64-tab, 15 MB Excel workbook, a hand-kept Google Calendar, and people's heads.

Roadmap

Five phases over twelve months. Each ends at a gate that is a number on the KPI page, not a demo — a phase that misses its gate repeats rather than rolling forward.

Phase 0
13 Oct – 27 Nov 2026
Foundation. API keys for eleven apps, hub stood up, asset master cleanup, SAP BOM audit, org chart and shift fields fixed, KPI definitions signed.
Gate 0 — live dashboard from SAP, Rippling and Effective
Phase 1
Nov 2026 – Jan 2027
Quick wins. Leaver and joiner automation, license reconciliation, labor cost per lb and overtime dashboard, OEE by line, production-to-shipping warnings, scheduler v1.
Gate 1 — planners run on the engine for two weeks
Phase 2
Feb – Apr 2027
Control loops. Scheduler writes to Effective and SAP, shipping proposals, SPC on the four CCP streams, meter-based PMs, training matrix, win/lose per run.
Gate 2 — overtime under 12%, schedule adherence over 90%
Phase 3
May – Jul 2027
Agents assist. Planning, QC, maintenance, HR and costing agents. Every action proposed, a person approves.
Gate 3 — 95% of agent proposals accepted
Phase 4
Aug 2027 on
Agents act. Auto re-planning and pickup changes within a policy table, predictive maintenance, self-tuning sanitation frequencies, live cost per SKU.

Baselines

The figures the plan argues from, to be replaced by live numbers in Phase 1.

17.0%of FY25 hourly hours were overtime — 77,151 h, about $688k of premium pay
78 of 215runs finished after their due date in the week-34 example
90 of 287people on the roster have under one year of tenure
98.6%sanitation crew utilisation — 74.2 of 75.2 person-hours a day, no slack
0%of 1,245 assets carry a criticality; 4.7% name a team in charge
209.7pounds per labor hour, the current planning target

Two figures in the source draft still need reconciling: headcount reads 287 on the 22 Sep roster against 312 today, and the KPI catalog is described as both 32 and 22 entries (32 are listed). Corrections were due at the 20 Oct meeting.

Every Tuesday: review the KPI page, check one gate, take one decision. The roadmap is updated in place rather than re-issued.
